A nice visit of our friends from the Netherlands

This post is written in English this time, at least it is supposed to be in English.

Last June, we got the visit of our friends A & T from the Netherlands as they were having a trip in France. So, it was the opportunity to meet for the 2nd time, the first time it was in Normandy two year ago in September. It was a very good Sunday: sunny weather, quite warm, not too hot. We decided to have a lunch with Libellule's mother at her house in the countryside, a typical barbecue at it is the barbecue season. We had fun during the lunch, some usual problems with the barbecue fire (how can people burn acres of land while I cannot burn anything with my small barbecue ?? :o)

Barbecue issue

A & T are the biggest Dire Straits / Knopfler / NHB / Brendan Crocker / anything related and George Moustaki fans we know. You can ask them anything about their favorite artists, then you will have the exact answer. T. also met G.Moustaki a couple of time on tours. So, we've been discussing a lot about music, concerts, (which is the greatest Dire Straits concert ?? If there should be only one - What is the best Moustaki concert, Tineke ?) culture, etc via the Internet. We prefered to speak in English (even after my rough night , I am sorry again for my .... French accent or how can I name it ? - Next time let me think to rent a translator ! :o) even if T. can speak French very well. As for us, we are not Dutch-speakers at all, even if we can notice some words sound like German ones.  We French frogs are not very clever for foreign languages ... maybe because we are so attached to the French language no French can write correctly ?

Lunch in the countryside

After lunch, we decided to visit the Thabor Park in Rennes. It is a famous Park with great and rare tree species. It also includes a large variety of roses, basin with fish, etc. So there were flowers everywhere and it was worth the visit. 

'You get the shiver in the dark, it's so raining in the park, but meantime' .... No, no rain that day !

It was a great day and we hope they enjoyed their visit at home. We hope we can see A & T soon again, in the Netherlands, France, Brittany, on the moon, or anywhere else !
